Press Release Body: Autumn Winter 2008

Stride into the new season making a strong statement. For Autumn Winter 2008 Anya
Hindmarch updates the easy glamour of the seventies using a rich colour palette of
caramel, bitter chocolate, midnight blue, forest green and stone in tactile fabrics
of quilted and woven leather, suede cord, patent, python and shagreen highlighted
with pale gold hardware and mirror accents. Think Denueve and Jagger; this look is
one of serious sophisticated cool.

Day
Demonstrating Vladimir Kagan and Pierre Cardin influences, the Perry is the key
style in leather and suede cord. Combine patchwork colours of cream, tan and sharp
chocolate for the ultimate in retro appeal or glam it up in solid black, caramel or
chocolate and let the understated gold hardware shine. The Minnelli mini holdall and
Slade shoulder bag complete the geometric patchwork group.

Anaconda and python make a luxurious impact this season. Featured in the soft shapes
of the striped Fontana and the Vigo, plush snakeskin in shiny or metallic shades of
chocolate, rich green, deep navy and black is accessorised with pale gold hardware.
Pleats, curved darts and turned seams create volume in these new silhouettes. The
Rocky top handle bag, Ziggy shoulder style and Riva clutch all feature a painted
snakeskin panel with tortoise shell twist fastening.

The Crosby tote makes an elegant return in a variety of colours and fabrics; choose
from goat, metallic gold, shiny chocolate or mottled python. Casati features
patchwork in a relaxed silhouette; a throw on shoulder bag in black or chocolate.
Featuring the leather inlaid lock, the Coppola is two-tone and two-fabric. Patent
and suede combined with a natural bridle handle is a beautiful combination.

The daytime clutch is a strong focus this season. Bosley features structured calf
and gold rectangular handle. Brady is the parent style; rounder in shape and
featuring the same hardware with hand carry or shoulder bag option. Spacious and
Gladstone inspired is the Charlie, belonging to the same family.

Easy to wear, the Fiesta and Noyes provide an understated sportier option in supple
calf. Sleek lines in chainmail leather detail this simple silhouette.

Evening
Drawing inspiration from Slim Aarons photographs, the evening collection is truly
seventies luxe. What could be simpler than pairing a python clutch with a white pant
suit or a smooth gold purse with a tuxedo? The oversized Piano, structured Burton,
striped Lovett and box style Marano form a collection of clutches available in
snakeskin or shagreen. Their timeless design means they are sure to become heirloom
pieces.

Ready to Wear
Get excited about dressing up this season! Nothing is more glamorous than the Sadler
in hair or the Klee in fur. Pair with jeans or over an evening dress and make a
statement in oatmeal or chocolate. Shiny naplak picks out buttonholes and pocket
edging on soft wool swing jackets and knee-length coats, the Gnoli and the Dux
whilst thin lines decorate ski style sweaters with batwing or blouson style sleeves.

Footwear
Footwear is streamlined in naplak and broken mirror. Candice patent knee length
boots and Christiane pumps are decorated with double straps and buckles. Two tone
features in the striped application of the Ludmilla flat and the Bancroft heel
available in anthracite broken mirror with black or black naplak with navy. Lilana
is a pretty option for day; an ankle strap wedge with top stitch detail in tan or
navy naplak whilst Ingmar wedges coordinate with the Marano evening clutch in
striking naplak stripes of black and gold or chocolate and bronze.

Travel
The look this season is considered and elegant – even when travelling. Tickets and
passport will be safe in the Cecile travel wallet in anthracite mirror or black
naplak. New in luggage is the navy and green logo. Travel in style with the Latimer,
Pablo and Theodore holdalls or the Isis trolley and keep all your toiletries safe
and chic in coordinating washbags which complete this luxe collection.
